Fields, Kenneth

Kenneth Fields is a descendant of Chief Richard Fields of the Texas Cherokee. He was born and has lived his entire life in California. He was interested in photography as a young boy and owned Kodak, Polaroid and 35mm cameras. Later, he took photography at the local Junior College and enjoyed that experience very much. His love of photography has centered on landscapes and macro photography. Water features, snow, reflections and mist can produce visually pleasing images. He also finds that close ups reveal details not always discernible during casual observation thus making interesting subject matter in photography. His ambition is to move my skills forward and hopefully develop more sophistication and personal touch to my artwork. He has always been very proud of his Cherokee heritage. Being a contributing artist at the CAC Spider Gallery and being able to share his photography makes him feel connected to the Cherokee people and his culture in a new and very special way.
